Alcohol misuse in older people 'under reported'
Studies into alcohol misuse tend to focus so much on younger people that misuse among older people is often described as a "hidden" area of research, Alcohol Concern has said.
Frank Soodeen, press and parliamentary officer at the national agency, said that older people tend to drink more regularly than younger people and that it is therefore vital that they seek treatment to help them address their underlying problems.
