Sharp rise in those receiving alcohol treatment in Wales
The number of people being treated for alcohol problems in the South Wales Valleys has risen by more than 40 per cent in the past year, according to new figures released by the NHS in Wales.
Last year, 15,415 people were treated for alcohol misuse in the region up from 10,899 the year before, the Western Mail reports.
